FAQ

Thanks to the combination of microfiber and water, waschies clean so thoroughly that they remove makeup without leaving any residue without additional makeup removal products such as soaps or lotions.

Our tip for particularly stubborn mascara: simply add a few drops of coconut oil to the waschie to make removing makeup even easier. You can also apply your make-up remover lotion to the waschie if your waterproof make-up is very stubborn.

If the waschies are dirty, simply put them in the washing machine. They can be washed as often as you like at up to 95°C. Here is our recommendation: simply put the waschies in a wash bag at 60° C in the light wash. Please do not use fabric softener, as this destroys the fiber. If the waschies are then put in the dryer, the fibers will completely set up and the waschies will again have the perfect cleaning power.

waschies are washable up to 95° C, so the pads are really clean and all bacteria are killed.

waschies are suitable for the dryer in any case – and thus remain especially nice and fluffy. Of course, you can also dry them on the clothesline without losing cleaning properties.

waschies are made of 88% microfiber (polyester) and 12% viscose (cellulose).

Microfiber and microplastic are (understandably) associated by many people because the two words are etymologically very close.

In fact, unfortunately, microplastics are created during the decomposition of all plastics, so the important thing when dealing with all products made of plastic (be it clothes made of polyester or microfiber, cosmetics, plastic bottles, packaging, etc.) is to cut down on the amount. This is what you do with waschies: you can get by with 7 waschies for at least 3 years without having to use additional cleaning products. Most comparable cosmetic products are additionally packaged in plastic, have a much shorter useful life and therefore cause more waste.

For the waschies, we made sure that the packaging is recyclable. In addition, in the production process, during the weaving of the fabric of the waschies, the thread is twisted so much that later washing out of fibers is prevented.

By the way, after the waschie has done its job as a makeup removal pad, you can still use it ideally for cleaning surfaces.

Waschies therefore contribute to plastic waste reduction – as a sustainable alternative to conventional makeup removal products.

Every year, about 8,000 wet wipes are needed per child, and about 700 cotton pads and makeup remover wipes are needed per person per year for daily makeup removal. These are all disposable products.

waschies, on the other hand, help reduce waste because they are reusable and do not require any additional lotions for cleaning.

waschies meet the highest ecological quality requirements – this is confirmed by the OEKO-TEX certification in product class I for baby products, which also includes testing for harmful substances. Because waschies not only sustainably protect the baby, but also the environment.
