Why
pureFeminine?
Using an intimate wash pad offers several benefits for personal hygiene and well-being.
Here are some reasons why you should consider using an intimate wash pad:
Gentle cleansing:
Our intimate wash pads are designed with a special fibre to gently and thoroughly cleanse sensitive intimate skin without causing irritation.
pH balance:
The intimate wash pads are designed to match the natural pH of the intimate area, which helps to maintain the balance of microflora and prevent infections.
Reduction of odours:
By removing bacteria and sweat, intimate wash pads help to minimise unpleasant odours.
Practical for travelling:
The pads are also easy to take with you wherever you go. This means you don’t miss out on intimate hygiene even when travelling!
Prevention of infections:
Regular and gentle intimate hygiene and cleansing helps you to reduce the risk of infections such as urinary tract infections or fungal infections.
Care after shaving:
Proper intimate care is also important after shaving and helps you to avoid skin irritation and infections.
Our new pureFeminine intimate wash pads are free from harsh chemicals, fragrances and alcohol, making them the perfect addition to your intimate care routine. Of course, you can also combine the pads with a mild, pH-neutral soap.
The microflora
is subject to
various
disruptive factors
Hormonal changes:
The hormone oestrogen alone influences the vaginal flora. Oestriol also plays a role. During menstruation, pregnancy and the menopause, the vaginal area is subject to strong fluctuations.
Hygiene products:
Soaps, gels, foams are other factors that can lead to itching and other disorders.
Menstruation:
Blood can greatly increase the pH value.
Antibiotic use:
Natural bacteria, such as Lactobacillus, which maintain the acidic pH value, are missing here. The result: a higher pH value! In this case, fungi can settle in.
Detergents:
Fabric softeners and aggressive detergents can evaporate on contact with the skin and disrupt the microflora enormously.
Why do you need
an intact pH value?
The skin is subject to different pH values and these skin environments are very susceptible to fluctuations.
Cleansing with water alone is therefore the best alternative here!
pH value of the skin between 4.7-5.75 → slightly acidic
pH value of the vagina between 3.5-4.5 → significantly more acidic
Defence against pathogens:
This acidic pH value is known as the protective acid mantle and thus wards off pathogenic microorganisms.
In the intimate area, it is primarily infections such as fungi that are to be warded off.
We have worked intensively on a recycled fibre that is gentle on the skin and does not impair the skin environment, but still effectively removes dirt.
