What is OEKO‑TEX® STANDARD 100?
The original safety standard for textiles: The OEKO‑TEX® STANDARD 100 label signifies that a textile article—including every fabric component, accessory, button, thread, or zipper—has passed rigorous testing for harmful substances.
Global consistency, maximum confidence: This independent, worldwide standard assures consistent evaluation, no matter where the item was made. The limit values and testing criteria are reviewed at least annually.
What’s tested—and why it matters
Items with the STANDARD 100 label are certified free from over 1,000 harmful substances, including banned dyes, heavy metals, formaldehyde, the standard covers both regulated and unregulated but potentially harmful chemicals, even those not yet restricted by law.
